Job description
Overview
We’re looking for a creative and strategic marketeer who’s excited about shaping the future of artist careers in a boutique label setup. You’ll work closely with artists and their teams to bring creative ideas to life, deliver standout campaigns, and connect fans with music in fresh, innovative ways.
As Marketing & Audience Lead, you’ll play a central role leading strategy, driving artist development, and steering the vision of our Insanity Records roster. If you’re passionate about mixing creativity with data, love experimenting with new platforms, and want an ability to think and shape campaigns differently, then this is the environment for you.
You’ll report directly to the Managing Director, giving you the opportunity to proactively contribute to the wider direction of the label. You’ll also be directly involved in forecasting and commercial strategy, ensuring marketing is aligned with business growth.
To hit the ground running, you’ll bring experience from a similar role within a record label and a track record of delivering impactful campaigns.
What you’ll be doing:
· Partnering with artists and managers to drive their campaigns, establish their brands, and develop long-term strategies that connect with fans.
· Working closely with our Digital & Audience Lead, you’ll drive content strategy and fan growth through innovative digital partnerships and the strategic use of paid media.
· You’ll spend a lot of time online analysing trends, blending data from various platforms and incorporating them into your day to day. Partnered with a strong natural instinct, you’ll build plans that resonate and grow our artists’ audiences.
· Teaming up with designers / creative directors to shape and steer creative strategy, from content to photos and styling.
· You’ll understand the process of making physical product, including handling the delivery of artwork, budgeting and liaising with D2C and retail consultants.
· Thinking big and global: collaborating with agencies and freelancers internationally to roll out campaigns that create impact worldwide.
· You will work across Insanity’s extensive label catalogue, identifying tracks that have potential to be resurfaced to a new audience, and identifying opportunities to do so.
· Keeping campaigns smart and sustainable by managing budgets with both creativity and commercial impact in mind.
· Working alongside our wider teams, you will be pivotal in facilitating new opportunities across brands, syncs, press, radio, TV, gaming, and podcasts.
· Leading by example by mentoring, inspiring, and supporting junior colleagues to help them grow alongside you.
Job requirements
Key competencies, skills, and experience:
· You’ve already gained solid marketing experience at a label, running artist development marketing campaigns.
· Having worked with the Co:Brand platform is desirable as, although not a must, you will be using it daily.
· You know your way around data and not just reading numbers but turning them into smart, impactful decisions on where to focus and how to grow an artist’s campaign.
· Comfortable working with paid media in partnership with digital specialists to drive discovery, fan growth, and commercial results.
· You’re super organised and can juggle the needs of multiple campaigns with ease.
· You’re a people person with the skills to connect and collaborate smoothly with artists, managers, teams, and partners alike.
· Music isn’t just your job; you’re genuinely energised by it, across genres, scenes, and cultures. You’re always curious, always learning, and always looking to grow.
· You’ve led and inspired junior colleagues before, and you are confident helping others level up.
Insanity Records is committed to maintaining a workplace where all individuals are respected, valued, and empowered to succeed.
