Overview:
Join Insanity’s dynamic podcast and digital production team. As Production Manager, you will oversee the production process across all our original and commissioned social and digital assets, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery. You’ll play a vital role in keeping projects on schedule, on budget, and aligned with our creative and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management and Admin:
Manage day-to-day production operations across multiple podcasts, digital and social campaigns.
Ensure clear communication between creative, editorial, and production teams throughout all project phases.
Leading on all admin tasks on production, to free up time for production personnel.
Budgeting & Scheduling:
Build and manage production budgets with cost-effective strategies, in liaison with the Group FD.
Develop and maintain production schedules, timelines, and workflows.
Track spend and ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time.
Team & Resource Coordination:
Support and coordinate internal content production teams (video editors, audio engineers, producers).
Book and manage freelance crews, studios, and external suppliers when necessary.
Organise equipment rental, transport, and technical requirements for shoots and recordings.
Logistics & Operations:
Coordinate all aspects of production logistics — from locations and permits to talent and crew travel.
Act as the main point of contact for production logistics on-set or in-studio.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure all productions adhere to legal, editorial, and health & safety regulations.
Manage risk assessments, insurance documentation, release forms, and other production paperwork.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with the Head of Production and Head of Digital to support all stages of podcast and digital content development, production, and delivery.
Align with editorial and campaign teams to ensure creative goals are met within the scope of production capabilities.
Communicate effectively with talent teams and commissioners.
Key competencies, skills, and Experience:
At least three years’ experience working within production management
Experience with managing several digital or multi-platform productions, from planning and pre-production through to delivery
Strong budgeting and scheduling skills, including experience managing annual budgets
A solid understanding of production risk assessments and health & safety duties
Experience in managing production insurance and liaising with brokers
Proven leadership and team development experience
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience negotiating contracts and managing production logistics in line with compliance
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with talent and external clients
Proficiency in industry tools and platforms
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Understanding of Environmental, Social and Governance factors as they relate to our business and our industry
Working knowledge of rights management, GDPR, and legal compliance in media production.
